- ➤ Oregon health officials said the state will keep its own vaccine schedule, recommending shots such as hepatitis A and B and influenza despite federal changes that removed these vaccines on Monday; public and private insurers will cover them through year's end. The Oregonian

- ➤ Seven players from the Dayton Pirates earned 3A football All-State honors from the OSAA after an undefeated season; senior Stephen Macias received first-team nods at running back and second-team recognition at linebacker, with teammates including Asher Maxwell, Logan Oliveira, Alejandro Magana, Royal Carlson, Kolby Wofford, and Tyler Pond.
