- ➤ Robotics team Chronobreak from Mac High won the Sustain Award at the Oregon FIRST Tech Challenge Championship Tournament over the weekend and will advance to a national event in Springfield (mid-April) or Long Beach (late May). News-Register

- ➤ Oregon lawmakers did not advance key climate and energy bills this session, including one to create a Climate Superfund for extreme weather damages and another to help Oregonians install heat pumps without upfront costs. Lawmakers plan to revisit these measures in future sessions (said sponsors). The Oregonian
- ➤ Oregon's Plastic Pollution and Recycling Modernization Act is now taking force after recent legal rulings narrowed a challenge — about 3,000 companies will pay fees to support new recycling programs and curbside improvements statewide. News-Register
