- ➤ Oregon lawmakers did not advance key climate and energy bills this session, including one to create a Climate Superfund for extreme weather damages and another to help Oregonians install heat pumps without upfront costs. - ➤ Oregon's Plastic Pollution and Recycling Modernization Act is now taking force after recent legal rulings narrowed a challenge — about 3,000 companies will pay fees to support new recycling programs and curbside improvements statewide. News-Register
