ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Ten states met a 2013 goal by registering 3.3 million new electric vehicles over 12 years. Oregon registered more than 100,000 vehicles and offered clean vehicle rebates worth nearly $100 million+ officials say these steps help reduce pollution.  The Oregonian

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On Monday, the Oregon Senate passed a bill to extend taxes on hospitals and insurers until 2032—bringing in billions for Medicaid and helping hospitals get more money. The bill now moves to Gov. Tina Kotek’s desk to get her signature.  The Oregonian
  • The Oregon Department of Revenue will hold a free tax help session in McMinnville on April 7 where trained volunteers will help people file their 2024 returns online—taxpayers must bring valid ID and income documents.  The Oregonian
