Oregonians were able to delete their 23andMe genetic data using steps provided in their online account after the company filed for Chapter 11 and announced plans for a sale (the new state privacy law ensures residents can stop sharing their data).
Attorney General Dan Rayfield said the law gives users the right to remove their test samples and revoke data consent as 23andMe continues operating.
