- ➤ Legislators in Oregon will vote on two bills today that could give utilities a financial safety net if their equipment starts a big wildfire while PacifiCorp helped shape the plans. The bills would let utilities raise customer rates to pay into a wildfire fund and show safe prevention plans — a move trial lawyers say shifts costs to ratepayers. The Oregonian
