- ➤ Families with children with disabilities will attend an adaptive egg hunt Saturday, April 12 at Willamette Elementary School starting at 10 a.m.—hosted by the Grove Church and local educators with almost a decade of experience in adaptive events. The free event will have egg hunts designed for different sensory needs—plus activities such as face painting, cookie and egg decorating, glitter tattoos, a photo booth, a bounce house and lunch. - ➤ Lower City Park reopened Friday after Mac Police found Kyle Milburn (36) dead at 7 a.m. during a suspicious death investigation and notified his next of kin. News-Register

- ➤ Timothy Wastell from Antica Terra Winery in Amity advanced as a finalist for Best Chef in the Northwest for the 2025 James Beard Awards – his achievement highlights Yamhill County's growing culinary scene. News-Register

- ➤ Friends of St. James School will host its annual Crab Feed Fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 26 in the Grand ballroom at 325 N.E. Third St. to raise funds for its new roof and endowment fund while enrollment for 2025-26 begins (tickets are $85 per seat or $600 for a table). News-Register

- ➤ The city of McMinnville and the Economic Development Partnership are asking residents to share feedback on design elements and density for a proposed 200-acre Innovation Campus off Highway 18. The survey is open in English and Spanish and will close April 11th at 4 p.m. News-Register
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation will host its second-annual Adult Easter Egg Hunt fundraiser on April 19 at The Preserve event center and golf course near McMinnville on Highway 99W at Bayou Drive. The event will run from 1 to 4:30 p.m. for ages 21+ and will feature a golf ball egg hunt with prizes, food from Ric-Rac Texas BBQ, adult beverages, wine tastings and music by Dante Zapata, with $45 tickets supporting cancer patients with non-medical needs. - ➤ Linfield softball improved its record to 16-2 after hitting seven home runs in a doubleheader sweep against La Verne Leopards on March 29—key hitters Claire Seats and Ashlyn Aven drove the wins.
