- ➤ McMinnville Police conducted two speed enforcement details in May in response to citizen calls for safer streets - one on May 12 near Southeast Davis and Southwest Fellows Streets that resulted in eight speeding citations, 14 warnings and two other citations, and one on May 16 near school zones that issued 18 speeding citations and 20 warnings as the department plans more details based on Facebook feedback. - ➤ McMinnville School District’s Budget Committee approved a $154 million spending plan that will be sent to the school board before June 30. The proposal includes a $104.6 million operating budget for programs — shortfall management measures such as reducing some positions to half time are in place, and the district is seeking an interim superintendent after former Superintendent Debbie Brockett was fired on April 14.
