- ➤ S.F., an Iranian citizen, was arrested Tuesday morning in Yamhill County while driving from his home to a gym and transferred to a Tacoma detention center—his lawyer filed a petition arguing the transfer violated his due process rights because no 48-hour notice was given before moving him out of state. - ➤ Oregon lawmakers passed legislation that stops rate hikes during November through March and spreads increases to every three years by 2027—aiming to lower utility bills and give the Oregon Public Utility Commission more tools to manage rate cases.
