- ➤ About 4,000 Kaiser Permanente workers in Oregon and southwest Washington began a five-day strike Tuesday — they are protesting stalled contract talks. Kaiser will use 7,600 temporary staff and reschedule some appointments and procedures as the walkout ends Sunday at 7 a.m. The Oregonian
- ➤ Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Clinic is marking its 50th anniversary by hosting a grand opening of its new clinic in Sheridan from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday—an event that highlights a major milestone and plans for expanded care. News-Register

- ➤ CBS reported that the Oregon-Indiana game averaged 5.59 million viewers + peaked at 8.361 million, the highest Week 7 rating since Tennessee upset Alabama, while ESPN’s College GameDay recorded 2.7 million viewers with 3.4 million in its final hour, a 16% increase from last year.
