- ➤ Northwest Christian Church will host an open gym night at Wascher Elementary School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21 for middle and high school students—addressing community concerns over a lack of organized activities—and is working with Lafayette and McMinnville School District. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ McMinnville middle schoolers will perform Arsenic and Old Lace at Patton Middle School (1175 N.E. 19th St.) from Nov. 20 to Nov. 23 under the direction of teacher Emily Wilcox. The comedy tells the story of Mortimer Brewster who finds a hidden body in his aunts' home — shows run at 7 p.m. on Nov. 20-22 and at 2 p.m. on Nov. 23 with tickets costing $5, $3 for seniors and students, and $8 for reserved adult seats.
