- ➤ Governor Kotek issued a new climate order — it directs state agencies to speed up wind and solar projects, boost energy storage and efficiency, and reach 8 gigawatts by 2045. The order aims to cut greenhouse gases while keeping energy costs stable for local ratepayers. The Oregonian
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Oregon linebacker Jerry Mixon has risen to a larger role as Devon Jackson missed games, recording 53 defensive plays against Iowa and 40 against Minnesota—he will start in the USC game on November 22 at Autzen Stadium. Mixon, who played mostly on special teams before, has worked to adapt and become a key part of the team’s defense. The Oregonian
- ➤ The No. 7 Oregon Ducks will wear black jerseys with black helmets when they host No. 15 USC at Autzen Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 12:30 p.m. PT—this is the third time they use the all-black look this season.
