Data from the Oregon Department of Education showed that regular attendance improved by 0.8% during the 2024–25 school year as 3,100 more students attended classes; however, more than one in three students remained chronically absent — well behind the national average.

Kindergarten attendance rose by 3.9%, marking the only notable improvement amid widespread challenges.
